Energy Recovery Turbo Charger

Equipment that takes the pressure left in the RO reject water and uses it to push the feed water. Your high-pressure pump works less and your running cost goes down.

Overview

The reject water leaving the membranes is still under high pressure. An energy recovery turbo charger puts that pressure to use by boosting the incoming feed water, so the main pump doesn't have to work as hard.

This makes the biggest difference in seawater plants, where electricity is the main running cost. Designing RO plants with energy-efficient equipment to reduce OPEX is something we specialise in.
