Ultrafiltration (UF) Systems
UF systems use very fine hollow-fibre membranes to remove dirt, cloudiness and bacteria. They can be used alone or before an RO plant.
Overview
The tiny pores in a UF membrane stop particles and bacteria, while water and dissolved salts pass through. What comes out is clear water with very low turbidity.
Placed before an RO plant, UF keeps the RO membranes cleaner for longer, so they need cleaning less often and last longer.
